What is a delivery code used for?
It allows only authorised delivery personnel (carriers, couriers, postal services) to open the main door in order to access the designated parcel drop-off area.
Who can use this code?
Only delivery personnel. Visitors are not allowed to use a delivery code.
How does a visitor enter a Workways building?
There are only three options:
- A meeting room code valid on the day of the booking (provided by the client company).
- Reception by a member of the client company, who comes to open the door and accompany the visitor.
- Purchase of a day pass by the client company (a personal access code valid for one day is then generated).
Security checks when using a delivery code
All access made via a delivery code is monitored by Workways Spaces Control through video surveillance to ensure the person entering is indeed a delivery driver and does not go beyond the parcel area. Access logs are also kept to ensure security and allow audits in case of an incident.
What happens if a visitor uses a delivery code?
This is considered misuse. Workways may:
- Charge a day pass at the applicable rate,
- Suspend or regenerate the delivery code concerned,
- Notify the client company and, in case of repeated misuse, apply additional security measures.
Best practices
- Never share the delivery code with visitors.
- In case of suspected code leakage, request its immediate regeneration via Spaces Control using the chat widget in the Workways app.
